We are Phyl and Walt Robbins and we have come a long way from depression era early
radio, pre-TV days, to this incredible cyber world of the internet.
We have been “retired” from our jobs since the late 1980’s, Phyl from her early
childhood development teaching activities and Walt from his management and organization
development consulting work.
Since that time we have made many changes, finding new important pursuits as well
as building on our earlier skills and interests. Music has always been at the top
of the list.
Phyl sings a wide variety of folk songs, accompanying herself on guitar and autoharp.
She has published a collection of silly songs.
Walt plays an eclectic folk fiddle, including French Canadian, Southern Mountain
and even some Cajun tunes.
Our love of folk music coupled with our status as grandparents brought forth the
name “grandfolkies” for this web site, which has been on-line since the year 2000.
We hope you enjoy it and feel free to contact us.
