But when I showed him the...
He turned around and ran
Oh, when I showed him the...
He turned around and ran

I wandered on for many years
A victim of my fate
Until one day I came upon
St Peter at the gate
And when I tried to take it inside
He told me where to go
Get out of here with that...
And take it down below
Oh, get out of here with that...
And take it down below

The moral of this story is
If you're out on the beach
And you should see a great big box
And it's within your reach
Don't ever stop and open it up
That's my advice to you
'Cause you'll never get rid of the...
No matter what you do
Oh, you'll never get rid of the...
No matter what you do.

THIS IS THE WAY THE LADIES RIDE
From Leslie R. I have been trying to find the words  to a rhyme you chant while bouncing a baby on your knee. It goes something like:
Trot, trot, trot, trot
This is the way the Lady's horse goes, Canter, canter, canter, canter
This is the way the parson's horse goes, Gallop, gallop, gallop, gallop
This the way the gentleman's horse goes, ________________
And here comes the country clown, Whoop-ity gee, whoop-ity gee!
Can anyone clarify it for me?
Thanks, Leslie

Ed. Note: Here are 2 variants, but I can't find your original. — then Leslie seems to have remembered it all! (See below).

1. A farmer went trotting upon his grey mare, Bumpety, bumpety, bump!
With his daughter behind him so rosy and fair, Lumpety, lumpety, lump!

A raven cried, Croak! and they all tumbled down, Bumpety, bumpety, bump!
The mare broke her knees and the farmer his crown, Lumpety, lumpety, lump!

The mischievous raven flew laughing away, Bumpety, bumpety, bump!
And vowed he would serve them the same the next day,

2. This is the way the ladies ride: clippety, clippety, clop
This is the way the gentlemen ride: trippety, trippety, trot
This is the way the farmer rides: bumpety, bumpety, bump
