Something strange here? Snow at the bottom of the mountain and green and brown at the top. What planet is this? Actually, there is no snow on this mountain, since the entire layout exists in the Summertime. The white gradually disappears as more earthen colour paints and detailings are added.

The P&W can be descibed as an emerging, pragmatic enterprise. It does not attempt to replicate a real life railroad situation. We started with very general ideas. At one end, there would be a town; at the other, a freight yard and commercial area. A logging operation near the mountain provides rationale for a siding, as well as more "scenicking" opportunities.

As with most model railroads, change is "never ending." More detail can always be added: more trees, more track sidings, more buildings, more people, animals, and “stuff” of all kinds (for example: signs, litter, old wrecks of cars, and ‘most anything else that exists, but we rarely “see”).
